4 Metaliq Projects in MIX ’08 Keynote

Metaliq at Microsoft MIX Conference.

03.13.08

At the MIX conference this year, Metaliq had no less than four (!) projects in the keynote address! First, Ray Ozzie, Chief Software Architect at Microsoft, incorporated the Silverlight 1.0 HALO 3 Media player built by Metaliq into his talk about Microsoft and the future of “Cloud” computing. Next, we were pleased to see the animated HALO 3 banner ad we produced feature in the keynote demonstration that John Harris, Senior User Experience Designer at Microsoft gave about business opportunities with Silverlight. Scott Guthrie, Vice President of the .NET Developer Platform at Microsoft, then showcased the default control skin set for Silverlight 2, built by Metaliq, when he detailed the advantages of the new Silverlight beta. Finally, Eric Hoffman and Roy Ben-Yoseph from AOL unveiled the next-generation AOL Silverlight 2 Webmail client, for which Metaliq partnered with AOL to develop control skins. All in all, it was a fantastic keynote and everyone at Metaliq is extremely proud to have played such an important part.
